I run a very “light-touch” charter agency. This is my first season and I’m very pleased with the results. Frankly, I’m already getting more enquiries than I can place so I deperately need more boats for the rest of this season and next season!

Here’s how it works:

I spend out on online marketing which generates lots of enquiries – mostly via the form on this site.

I’ve got some basic automation set up. This sends a summary of the client’s requirements to all suitable boat operators.

This is done by automated email this year but my background is software and I’m busy writing software to automate sending the requests, getting availability/prices then reporting back to the clients.

I’m aiming to get to a point where I can send you a text or whatsapp with a link to a really simple form to confirm the boat, its availability, the price and any notes.

I then present the client with a list of all suitable boats – normally by ringing them. I’ve been a charter skipper in the Solent for 10 years and ran by own charter boat till last year so I’m well placed to give expert advice on destinations, itineraries etc.I then invoice you for 7.5% +VAT of the charter price which only falls due after the trip has taken place. If you cancel or postpone, I cancel the invoice.

So, in summary, it is all very simple. I help market your boat(s). You retain control over availability, prices, itineraries etc. You don’t have to keep a calendar updated. You just get sent requests and bookings. You pay me a very reasonable commission if and only if the trip takes place.
